At 5: 00 pm on January 31, when the police of Jiangchuan District Forest Public Security Bureau in Yuxi City, Yunnan Province inspected the jurisdiction, they found a villager carrying hunting tools, and birds chirped from time to time.
Stopped by the police, the man put down his tools, bird cages and other items, saying that he was here to help people with Sanqi. When he was idle during the Spring Festival, he went up the mountain to hunt birds to eat.

In order to cut off the epidemic source at the first time and severely crack down on illegal hunting of wild animals, the forest public security organs at Yuxi City and Jiangchuan District immediately dispatched police to the area of Jiuxi Town in Jiangchuan District overnight to conduct surprise inspections on the dormitories and surrounding areas.

What is actually hidden behind a case is the greedy demand for illegal interests.
On November 7, 2019, security personnel at Guang ‘an Railway Station in Sichuan found a large number of dead wild birds in the suitcases of four passengers, including Lu Moguang. After checking and counting by the police of Guang ‘an Forest Public Security Bureau, 2418 dead wild birds and some hunting tools such as electronic bird traps and bird nets were found in the suspect’s suitcase. After the trial, four suspects confessed to using electronic bird traps and bird nets to hunt wild birds near Fenshuiling Village, shiya town, Yuechi County, Guang ‘an City, and two other suspects. Guang’ an Forest Public Security Bureau quickly organized the police of the Municipal Bureau, Qianfeng District and Yuechi County Forest Public Security Bureau to rush to the scene to arrest. Guang ‘an Forest Public Security Bureau immediately set up a "11.7" extra-large illegal hunting case task force to carry out investigation work. After investigation, from mid-August, 2019, the suspects Lu Mouliang and Wu Moufu discussed bird catching to make money, and agreed that Lu Mouliang would be responsible for selecting bird catching places, renting houses, personnel round-trip fares, transportation, bird nets and other preparatory work and sales work. For the birds caught by the bird catcher found by Wu Moufu, Lu Mouliang bought them at the price of live birds 0.8 yuan/bird and dead birds 0.6 yuan/bird, and Wu Moufu paid a commission of 0.2 yuan/bird. In mid-September, 2019, Wu Moufu organized Lu Moguang, Lu Moneng and others to illegally catch birds from congjiang county to Guang ‘an. Subsequently, Lu Mouliang’s cousin Lu Moxi also joined the illegal bird catching. After review, during the period from September 21 to November 6, 2019, criminal suspects illegally hunted more than 110,000 wild birds, mainly sparrows. The criminal suspects transported the hunted wild birds to Qingyuan, Foshan and other places in Guangdong for sale at a price ranging from 1.1 to 3 yuan by means of passenger car consignment, and made an illegal profit of more than 150,000 yuan.
Recently, with the approval of the procuratorate, 10 suspects suspected of illegal hunting were arrested according to law.
Cao Mingde, a professor at the School of Civil and Commercial Economics of China University of Political Science and Law, said: "In fact, illegal hunting and illegal trading of wild animals have been repeatedly prohibited for a long time, and an industrial chain has been formed, including illegal hunting, sales and purchase, as well as transportation, carrying, sending and utilization, including domestication and breeding. Then the reasons are various and the demand comes from consumers. Where there is demand, there is a market. "
