BYD Sea Lion sold more than 24,000 vehicles in 3 months, all of which were produced in Changzhou base

It was learned on September 20 that the "BYD e-Platform 3.0 Evo and Sea Lion 07EV Technology Experience Co-creation Camp" opened at BYD Changzhou Base on the 19th. As the only production base of Sea Lion in the world, "BYD e-Platform 3.0 Evo" unveiled 12 world-first hardcore technology veils, revealing the extraordinary strength of the first model Sea Lion 07EV "Almighty King".

The Sea Lion 07EV rolled off the production line in the first trial this year and debuted at the Beijing Auto Show in April. It is the third model launched by BYD’s Changzhou base after Yuan PLUS and Seal. As the birthplace of the Sea Lion 07EV, the Changzhou production base includes four major process factories of stamping, welding, painting and final assembly and related supporting core parts factories. It integrates high automation, integration and intelligence, and has world-class intelligent manufacturing technology, advanced technology and quality control system.

As the first model of the e-platform 3.0 Evo technology, the Sea Lion 07EV offers multiple advantages in terms of safety, efficiency, and charging. It is equipped with the world’s first endoskeleton CTB safety architecture, enhancing vehicle and cockpit safety.

In the first 8 months of this year, BYD Marine delivered 1.069 million new energy vehicles, accounting for more than 16% of the sales in the domestic new energy vehicle market. As of the end of August, the cumulative sales volume of HYD 07EV3 months exceeded 24,000.

Since BYD Changzhou Base (Phase I) started production in January 2022, it has become the fastest industrial enterprise in Changzhou to enter the 10 billion-level club. From January to August, the new energy vehicles and auto core parts industry chain related enterprises in Xinbei District completed invoicing sales of 74.33 billion yuan, an increase of 4.8% year-on-year; 15 companies’ invoicing sales increased by more than 100 million yuan.
