The steering wheel design of the new XT4 still feels a little too stable, but fortunately, the feel of the whole steering wheel is still very good, and the multi-function buttons also use physical buttons, and the damping feeling is in place. In addition, the steering wheel is also equipped with shift paddles, which can effectively enhance the fun of driving the vehicle.
There is no change in the electronic gear lever of this car, and it is still a more traditional design style, and it is still a pity that knob or crystal gear lever is not used. After all, Cadillac models use the diamond cutting design concept in many places, and it would be better if these elements can also be added to the gear lever.

Because it is equipped with a 2.0T engine, the vehicle still has sufficient power performance at the initial stage of acceleration, and the 9AT transmission upshifts quickly and the response time is fast enough. Even when we use travel mode (synonymous with economy or comfort mode), the vehicle’s power performance is not bad.
When accelerating in the middle and rear section, the power output of the vehicle is still relatively stable, and the downshift of the transmission is also obvious. Relatively speaking, the noise of the engine will increase, but the whole is still within the acceptable range. In sports mode, the shift of the vehicle will be delayed and the response of the throttle will become more sensitive.
The 9AT transmission is quite satisfactory in upshifting, but when the vehicle is slowing down slowly, there will be some small frustration during the automatic downshift of the transmission. Although it is not particularly obvious, it can still be felt if you observe it carefully, which is still a little uncomfortable.
The quietness of the vehicle is still very satisfactory, especially in the wind noise treatment. The new XT4 is excellent. Even in the cruise stage of 120km/h, almost no noise can be heard in the whole car. The performance of suspension will be more inclined to the sports attribute. When driving on urban roads and highways, the whole vehicle will be more calm, giving people a very solid feeling. However, when driving on bumpy roads, the rigid suspension will be lacking, and the impact on the road surface can not be effectively absorbed, and the feedback to the car is still obvious.
On the top, the steering wheel feels really good, and the steering wheel is very light, so it can be easily done with one hand even when turning around in place. If there is a fly in the ointment, it is that the intelligent driving system of the new XT4 is a bit unsatisfactory. The vehicle is not equipped with lane keeping, lane deviation, lane centering and other functions, and only has cruise control function, which is really a bit less competitive for a 250,000-class model.
